The Bakkour Memory and Decision Lab is seeking highly motivated undergrads who are interested in joining the lab as a Research Assistant! The position is available to start ASAP, with an expected minimum commitment throughout the Spring Quarter (April-June 2021). Preference will be granted to UChicago undergraduate students who can commit to working in the lab for at least a year, and there will be opportunities to continue research during the summers as well.
Join us as we pursue an exciting project that investigates the effects of stress on our decision making for the future. As an RA, you will have the opportunity to run participants on live behavioral studies, gain skills and knowledge in online methods for collecting data, and assist with analyzing the data using statistical software. We are a group of researchers who are passionate about the intersection of memory and decision-making, and we would love to have you join us!
To apply, please fill out this form to express your interest and share your background. We will get in touch with you once you have submitted an application. For more information, see our Join Us page.
Note: This is a volunteer, remote-friendly research assistant position. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions—thank you!

Psychology @ UChicago: How to Survive and Thrive in the Psychology Graduate Application Process 2020
The Department of Psychology at UChicago will be hosting an admissions webinar for all prospective PhD applicants in Psychology. This event will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 4-5:30pm (Chicago time zone). See website link for details: https://psychology.uchicago.edu/content/admissions-webinar
“The goal of this webinar is to enhance the strength of the applications prospective PhD students can construct. It can be difficult for applicants to know how to best demonstrate their readiness and fit for a particular PhD program. This may be exacerbated for applicants who don’t have access to “insider” information about what constitutes a strong application. We believe that innovative and meaningful research requires a diverse set of ideas, and this webinar is one attempt to democratize the dispersal of information about the PhD application process.”
Make sure to register by October 19 and submit questions in advance!
